We recommend that you remove the ring when engaging in activities that involve potential impact to the diamond and the ring. Playing sports, lifting weights, and gardening are all examples of activities that have been known to cause damage to the diamonds in the ring. Swimming in chlorinated water will cause white and yellow gold to react with the chlorine in the water to form gold-chloride. This will cause the ring to become brittle in time.
